Countering the counterfeiting
Platinum, a prominent Southern California manufacturer of ingestible cannabis products, decided to take a swift action to curb the problem of counterfeit cannabis sales. NeuroTags dual-code solution
Platinum cannabis product packaging will soon feature NeuroTags dual-code technology codes. These codes will provide a unique identity to Platinum’s cannabis products.
Each NeuroTags code consists of two parts – Pre-purchase code and Post-purchase code. The pre-purchase(open) code is open and can be scanned by the customers before buying the product. Once the customer scans the open code, NeuroTags is able to authenticate the product and provide a pre-purchase information experience.
Whereas the post-purchase code is hidden under a scratch-off layer. Customers can scan this code after the purchase to avail of loyalty rewards and other incentives from the brand. Platinum will get an opportunity to collect their genuine customers’ information when the customers register themselves to gain loyalty rewards. This information will help Platinum to reach out to the right audience directly and market their products. Since the NeuroTags solution does not require users to download any app, user participation is very high.
